It seems to me that in dulfsm.cc the timeout struct handed to the select() function must be set to NULL in this code:

struct timeval timeout;
timeout.tv_sec = connectTimeout;
timeout.tv_usec = 0;
rc = select(s+1, NULL, &fdSet, NULL, &timeout);

Maybe further code has to be modified.
