Momentan ist dieser Fall im ''dicom.dic'' dokumentiert:

# the following attribute is defined as SQ in the DICOM standard,
# it was defined as CS in Supplement 23 (frozen draft) from 1997.
#(0040,A170)    CS    RETIRED_ObservationClassTrial    1    DICOM/retired

Schön wäre natürlich eine Lösung, die in Abhängigkeit von der SOP Class die richtige VR (CS oder SQ) verwendet. Das scheitert aber daran, dass an der betreffenden Stelle im Code kein Zugriff auf das Datenelement "SOP Class UID" besteht.

Und diesen Konflikt auch im DICOM-Standard deutlich zu machen, habe ich (JR) am 10.02.2012 ein CP bei WG06 eingereicht.
