Description

The dcmpschk tool (a grayscale softcopy presentation state syntax checker) may dereference NULL, leading to a segmentation fault, when attempting to parse a specially-crafted DICOM file.

Reported 2026-01-02 by Naavin <>, together with sample file and fix.
